Today though there was a lovely breeze so when I went out to lunch I wore my new midi dress.
I got this in the mall yesterday....cue shots in the H&M changing room :)
What I wore....
The goods!
What ultimately attracted me to this dress was:
* The blush shade - a great base to pair with tans and pastels
* The lightness of the material - I do confess to a changing room twirl to see how it moves :)
* The slashed chiffon sleeve - the chiffon creates some nice movement and reveals a bit of arm flesh.
* The overall length - there is something refreshing about midi's: not sexy but very demure....which is sort of sexy in itself?
Anyway, here are some rushed shots for you :)

Dress: H&M
Belt: H&MShoes: Zara
Purse: Miu Miu
Accessories: Michael Kors watch and large gold metal ring Forever 21.
I think this would look even better with heels....dressed up for evening but I certainly wasn't going to do that today...too much effort in this heat man! :)
Have you ventured into this kind of skirt length?

Oooh I love the blush color of the dress!
ReplyDeleteI love the Dress <3.

I have the blouse and it's an absolute winner! I've been wearing it just with high waisted chinos or tucked into highwaisted shorts but undone to the waistband, it's a beauty! x
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit but what really caught my eye is the TB flats in the first shot. They're simply beautiful!

Love the blazer, need that one in my life! The colour of that dress is a perfect nude/blush and looks fab with those sandals, a midi length is a maxi on me lol! x

ReplyDelete@Jessica - thank you :) It's from river island - fairly recent although not sure if its now landed in the sales :)
ReplyDeleteLove that dress - and it would indeed look tres beautiful with heels at a dinner.
ReplyDeleteI love the midi length but at 5'1 it's proving to be a difficult one for me to master - just half a centimetre too long and I look like I'm 4'1 lol!
Much Love

ReplyDeleteOh wow, I am liking that dress! Think I might hit my local H&M to pick one up as it looks so good on you!
ReplyDeleteMy grandmother's trick to wearing "clingy" dresses in a humid or hot weather -- powder! She said baby powder in all covered areas will work. But she always used the YSL Poison talcum powder when I was a child.. come to think of it, it does make sense.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore the shirt you bought! And the blazer in your first outfit is amazing. You look so lovely in that dress by the way :)

That looks so ridiculously comfortable! I have a few midi skirts from my mom but I rarely wear them out. It does have a certain elegance to it.
