These are without doubt my favourite flats in the world. Yes they are.
Strangers have stopped me in the street to ask where they are from and they are over-the-top enough to pep up any boring outfit.
They are round toed ballerinas, covered in silver sequins and with a silver hardware logo. (A colleague once assumed the Tory Burch branding looked like the Take That symbol...I can sort of see his point but why did he think I would wear Take That shoes FFS??!)

I have worn these constantly since getting them in December and the sole remains in tact.
After my experience with these I can definitely recommend Tory Burch...I used to buy pair after pair of ballerinas from the likes of Zara and Topshop, seduced by the designs, but they never lasted. These seem much more durable and hard-wearing.
BUT...here's the thing. I would never pay full price. It seems that Tory Burch doesn't really sell that well in the UK and as a result they always end up on the net-a-porter.com sale (half price or less) or on theoutnet.com
This is when I always get mine. Why pay £190 when you can get them for less than half? :)
I think my next lemming will be some snakeskin/leopard print versions...got to keep it a little tacky, haven't we? :)

ReplyDeleteI remember living in the US in 2009 and everywhere I went there were fake Tory Burch flats on every corner. They looked identical but I'm sure the quality wasn't the best.

they look so pretty, but definitely see what you mean about the Take That logo! i wouldn't pay 190 for them, but 80 would be do-able! i do find though that flats with the 'accordian' type heel do rub a bit.

I agree on the whole "not paying full price" thing...I found some TB wedges for 66% off at Nordstrom Rack the other weekend..and of course I snapped them up in no time flat!
ReplyDeleteI love flats, probably a little too much. But whenever I tried the Tory Burch ballet flats they don't feel too durable, like they'll fall apart in a few days. But that just may be my shoe paranoia.
ReplyDeleteflats are something I don't mind splurging on since I wear them so much... I've also had my share of cheapies from Aldo that I tossed after a season... I wear my quality ones to death and they are still buttery soft in great shape after a year or two or more! French Sole and JCrew make great flats as well :)

LOVE the Chloé moccasins! I have a pair of Tory Burch Revas in black with the gold medallion, and while they look pretty spiffy, after almost half a year of wearing them they STILL kill my feet! That elastic on the heel just digs right in and hasn't loosened up one bit since the first time I wore them. Do you find that with yours at all?

If your time is limited, the best remedy is your going to your local mall to find a pair of comfortable pink bridal shoes or a local shoe store.
