I had some meetings today so decided to sport one of my favourite Zara dresses. Deep v at the front, an appropriate knee length and made of the lightest fabric that dances as you move.
The latter point is all very well and good in light to no breeze - but if the wind picks up you will be fighting a losing battle against pants exposure. I rushed inside before things got indecent :)
Dress: Zara (I think last season)
Jacket: Topshop (This season - but I haven't been able to find this on the website so fingers crossed it is in stores)
Shoes: Kurt Geiger (A couple of years old and still going strong :)
I have to continue my rave about Studio Fix Fluid. It's doing it for me people, it really is. The coverage is superb and there is something about it that seems to work for my skin in this kind of weather.
This, NARS Casino Bronzer, MAC Peachstock lipstick with Sleek's Peach Perfection Pout Polish, hot weather, Pepsi Max, my new 50mm Canon prime lens, Bose headphones, Bon Iver and strong cappuccinos are the things that are currently making me very happy.
:)
See you soon everyone

ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely outfit! I love how one day you're pulling off the laid back thing and the next, dressed up to the nines. That last image looks like it belongs to an ad in Vogue! Your posts are so inspiring:)
ReplyDeleteThat dress is so pretty. Love the shoes too!
ReplyDeleteLove the dress, I have full understanding about the Marilyn moment. Happens to me know for two weeks with my traditional Dirndl at the Octoberfest. I am fighting a loosing battle with very unflattering boy shorts as the only weapon.
ReplyDeletelove the dress Laura :) very chic as always.special love for your last picture you look great , have a lovely week xoxo
ReplyDelete@luckymirai - no worries. i love the funkyness of them :) I also like this with TB flats.
ReplyDelete@Becky - no tripod but it's more down to the new lens I got for the camera. the 50mm prime lens is all i ever wanted from a DSLR camera and I am kicking myself that I didn't get it sooner. It literally changes EVERYTHING in pictures. Nice depth of field...aaahhh i love it :)
@Aysha Frost - I love em too...they are sort of funky and yet super comfy. A good combo :)
@Arlene - thank you Arlene :)
@La Petite Olga - thank you so much!

Gorgeous dress, love the style and bag just makes the outfit perfect! Great pictures! x
ReplyDeletei love this post! the pictures, especially the first one, are amazing!
ReplyDeleteI wish studio fix wouldnt smell like.. well studio fix fluid, but i love the coverage and just all over feel of that foundation.
x
@nana - i know! seriously everytime i open the bottle i think "my god, this stuff is going on my face"...it absolutely reeks, especially in comparison to chanel or FACE Atelier (which doesn't smell of anything at all) but ughhhh its sooo good! :)
ReplyDeleteI had this problem for months now... I love the ladylike midi-length skirt for work, but they're so lightweight that literally, each day is a battle to keep my bridget jones from being exposed to the world. Everywhere I go I swear that gale force wind follows me and my skirt, whilst people comment "ooh, just like Marilyn" and I'm thinking "yeah right, if Marilyn had turned an attractive shade of puce, whilst trying fruitlessly to prevent the world from seeing her J-Lo!" x
ReplyDeleteKnowing my luck if I bought that dress it would windy for the rest of my life and I'd either have to expose my underwear to everyone or just let it sit gathering dust in the wardrobe. Gutting because it's really pretty :(
ReplyDeleteI think I repeat myself but...These pictures are soooo gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteI liked your old blog but I love this one :)
Do you have the pics taken with self-timer?
You look absolutely stunning in that last photo! Love it! :) X
