I bought these in H&M last summer because their panel pleather detail was a nod to the slick-look trend without being too overwhelming. It's been such a long time since I wore simple leggings that I forgot how comfortable they truly were.
I paired them with another H&M staple vest top and whilst I considered Tory Burch flats I thought of the video I posted yesterday and the fact that the he/she spitefully says: "she was wearing....Tory Burch flats" :p
So I wore my £15 New Look boots that have seriously become one of my favourite pairs of shoes. A little turn up on the leggings and they worked well.
I think I am ready to take the step and indulge in a pair of full on pleather bottoms...the key I think is a top that covers arse. If you wear something like that - a cosy knit is even better - then it works well.

I keep buying leather and pleather pieces but I'm findi them increasing difficult to get hold off due to the fact we are getting bombarded by pastels and spring colours already! (not that I mind, but I don't think the english weather is ready for spring yet). And I never really thought about selfridges when ordering my makeup, I'd love some Tom Ford goodies though! xx

ReplyDeleteAww you're a day ahead of me on outfits. I plan on wearing something like this tomorrow for a night out. Slightly miffed at the fact I've bought loads of dresses but can't wear them thanks to Scotland being ridiculously cold all year round. Leggings are always the way to go though.

ReplyDeleteYou *need* to get the Tom Ford Burnished Amber Quad, it's stunning on green / hazel eyes and the texture of the shadows is really lovely and if you think about it you're paying 62 GBP for 10g of eyeshadow which is slightly more expensive than MAC. See, it makes perfect sense! :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, Rouge d'Armani lipsticks are amazing - very pigmented and the most long-lasting and non-drying lippie I've tried. The Tom Ford lipsticks are supposed to be great as well but I haven't tried them yet. Also, Illamasqua's liquid liner and NARS' sheer lipstick in Damage (sheer plumy colour) are my favourites at the moment. I'll shut up now, but please do share what you end up getting :)

If its a Splurge at Selfridges then pop a Tom Ford Blusher in the basket the colour Love Lust is really great my Mum has it and i keep finding myself borrowing it !!! and while your looking at Suqqu i would def get the pen and also add on a blusher brush and checkout as quick as poss !!! ReplyDeletethe nars blush is definitely a brownish-pink, giving a more natural look than a "hey im wearing pink on my face!" type of blush. it is quite similiar to tarte's exposed. although i will say that the tarte one gives more colour payoff imo than the nars one. if you are realllly fair then it'll show up on you.

I'm really pale with freckles and Nars Douceur barely shows up on me. It's not as pigmented as my other Nars blushers. I'd go for Sin instead.
