You know me. I am eternally on the quest to look "lit from within". I am not going to achieve this by living an uber-healthy lifestyle however. No I would rather sin with my dietary intake, stay up late and slap on cosmetics to fake it.
Enter MAC Full of Joy blush.
I should be a little embarrassed posting this as I know it's been out for months. I don't even attempt to keep up with the collections these days so I am no doubt going to repeat what everyone else has said. Still, this lavendar toned blush with its cool shot of pink has me all excited and I am going to carry on regardless.
This came into my life at a good time. My beloved Sue Devitt Soloman Islands is on it's last legs and I was looking for a similar tone that wouldn't necessarily require an online order from the UK. A glance at the MAC counter and I knew that Full of Joy was everything I needed.
As you will tell from the pictures I am literally piling this stuff on - with no apology. It's frost finish adds a glow - without glitter. It might be a bit much but it actually looks pretty, in a Sci-Fi dolly kind of way.
Clearly something HI-larious going on at my feet in the picture below:
(PS. I do own a hairbrush - honest!)
I must also add that the Real Techniques Blush Brush is just as sensational as everyone promised it would be. If you don't have it, don't hesitate in buying it.
Now tell a fellow blush addict what your favourite cheek product of the moment is! :)

The blush and that jacket is amazing on you! My favourite is Illamsqua's Hussy x
ReplyDeleteI have been eyeing this for a while now, but not sure if this will work on my skin tone... I'm NC42... It looks amazing on you though!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like such a lovely colour, really fresh, and not to heavy :)
ReplyDeleteJess x
That looks uh--may-ZING! That subtle barbie pink sheen... Just keep piling, there are days when those kind of blushing are necessary. It definitely looks great on photos, btw. :D
ReplyDeleteMAC's 'Style' blush! So gorgeous and under-rated, definitely my favourite!
ReplyDeleteThat's a gorgeous blush! It really suits you too :) xx

Addicted to Nars penny lane with a little bit of Mac well dressed over it - an old favourite of yours I think? From the lollipop26 days!
ReplyDeleteWhat are you wearing on your lips?
i'm still rocking the douceur + penny lane combination and have been literally for MONTHS, they might be a bit too light for you now that you're so tanned!
ReplyDeletei just got that brush a couple of weeks ago as well (i tend to be late to all these product parties), and i'm still in awe, it's amazing, isn't it? so soft and so versatile! works for powder, bronzer, contour and blush!
p.s. you look so beautiful in these pics!
Looks lovely. Is that with no highlighter? Just the blush?
ReplyDeleteMine is Nars Multiple Stick in "MAUI" and Laura Mercier "Tender Mauve". I have an Olive Tan Skin, like "Hawaiian girls skin tone". I put on the nars multiple stick in Maui first and then put on Laura Mercier "Tender MAUVE" ON top of it. Stays there the whole day and looks very healthy and natural on my skin tone. If anyone else has the same skin tone as me. I would definitely recommend them these blushes.
ReplyDeleteFavourite cheek product at the moment (and forever) is NARS Exhibit A blush. I just can't get enough and it works for my middle-eastern skin tone, as well as every other skin tone in the world.
ReplyDeleteso pretty! love it!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is blush Terribly By Terry in Torrid Peach
ReplyDeleteThat blush was made for you! Looks so gorgeous on your skintone. I currently do not have a favorite, I'm slapping on a mixture of 2 or 3 blushes hoping to use them up quicker LOL :)
ReplyDeleteLove that colour on you :) A really lovely pink blush for summer! x
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty colour! Love it :) xx

ReplyDeleteThat Real Techniques blush brush is FANTASTIC!! I want about 4 of them - one for every color grouping! I'm gonna have to look for that blush. I've been on the hunt for a cool pink blush.
ReplyDeleteOoops! Was filming a wedding yesterday and must have gotten rushed but I forgot to add that MAC Blooming has been my favorite lately! :D

This looks gorgeous on you! I'm loving Look Beauty's bluch in Flirt at the moment - an amazing formula, beautifully pigmented and seriously cheap!xx
ReplyDeleteA hairbush? What's that then?
ReplyDeleteI'm still allover Mac's Coygirl.
This reminds me of well dressed but maybe more pigmented, love it! My favourite blush at this moment is Tarte Amazonian Clay blush in Blissful.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving cool-toned pink blushes that verge on lilac atm- don't they look amazing with a tan? Especially those that have that cool-toned shine!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, what's the name of the lipstick you're wearing? Is it the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine you've blogged before?
xx
The shade look so fab on you dear!!

ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty colour! I'm still using the Daphne Guinness Mac blusher, but it's a bit too glittery for me.....maybe it's time for an investment!
ReplyDeletekatieneedsajob.blogspot.com/
This color looks amazing on you! Right now, I am loving NARS Deep Throat. I also like to add MAC mineralize skin finish ( I like Blonde) on top of my blush for the "dewy" look.

ReplyDeleteFor me it is always MAC Lady Blush which I apply with the Real Techniques stippling brush (my massive obsession at the moment). I am loving that blush on you it compliments your tan perfectly - unfortunately it doesn't look like it is available in UK :(
ReplyDeleteI have just bought Full of Joy from a blog sale and am waiting for it to arrive, I'm so happy to see this post :) It looks great on you. I am going to buy a bunch of RT brushes this week, I need to put more brushes into rotation so I don't have to clean them as much hah.
ReplyDeletebeautifully glowy...hehe, I own a hairbrush too and even a Maison Person (rolls royce of brushes) and still my hair....*sight*
ReplyDelete*MlleWanderlust *
the blush is wonderful on your skin. Seeing these pictures I wish I would be able to work with a blush so it doesn't look like a kid got access to mom's make-up bag :-(
ReplyDeleteThat is such a beautiful colour, might have to invest in this after I tan a bit more.
ReplyDelete- Keyta x
Wow it gives your cheeks such a pretty glow! Also, don't apologise for posting this, I've never seen another review on it! Xx.
ReplyDeleteThat's beautiful on you - I can't keep up with all the MAC collections either, there are just too many these days! My favourite blushes at the moment are the Topshop creme blushes. Gem xx
ReplyDeleteflutterandsparkle.com
You look lovely! I ordered this brush yesterday and can't wait to use it! My fav blush at the moment is pink sugar by bobbi brown. I think you'd like it too, even though you're much more tanned than me;)
ReplyDeleteIt looks lovely, I really like the shimmer effect it has!
ReplyDeleteNat x
Hi Laura,
ReplyDeletecompletely unrelated question, but your hair colour is exactly what I am looking to do with mine i love the look of the ombre effect!! What did you ask for at the salon to achieve it?? x

You look ravishing in these pictures, now I want this blush so badly! I'm addicted to my Benetint at the moment, so as soon as I spot a MAC store, I'm going to see if this one can beat it :)

I'm a sucker for piling on the blush too, I can't get enough of the stuff. MAC dollymix is my favourite mixed with a bit of Topshop highlighter in sunbeam - creates the perfect 'glow'.

ReplyDeleteI'm loving Nars blushes at the moment, Gina is the perfect summer blush.
ReplyDeletebreath of plum by mac :D
ReplyDeleteLovely! So is it more of a nice sheen then? Kinda like a highlighter? I hate having glitters on my face so this blush looks great.
