The Long Crossover Dress

I saw this in the TRF section of Zara and loved it. It's more bohemian than my usual gear but it just looked so light, fresh and easy to wear that I had to pick it up.

I underwent some preparation before putting this on - namely investing in a giant pair of nude pants (protection against revealing sunlight) - but that was totally unnecessary.

It's not transparent, it's very flattering and whilst it's difficult to walk in, the length and look of the dress makes you feel Princessy. I must like that feeling because I have worn it two days on the trot.

I think this would work really well (possibly better) at night paired with a biker jacket and a pair of killer heels to try and ensure that the material doesn't drag along the floor.

I prefer to wear sandals and sweep my local neighbourhood.

Dress: Zara/TRF - Link!
Sunglasses: House of Harlow
Necklace: Tiffany and Co

Apologies for the quick post - I am now off to finish a proposal for work. Living the dream, eh? :)

Happy Tuesday everyone! :)

  29. OMG!!! I just came home from Zara where I was looking at this dress thinking how perfect it would be for my trip to Dubai!!!! I am going there in June and am worried what to wear since it will be very warm but I still want to dress appropriately. Any suggestions?

    1. It's going to be hot in June so around beach/tourist areas wear what you like. Dubai can be very liberal so as long as you are not dressed like a slapper - which i know you wouldn't! - you will be fine :) in malls/other areas go for maxis :)

  49. I love this dress Laura, it's so my style. I'm always looking for more dresses like this - respectable for wandering around Dubai but also light enough that I'm not drenched in sweat as soon as I step out of the house!

If you get a chance please check out my new blog - it'd be great to get some feedback from a fellow Dubai-blogger!
