Charlotte Olympia Kitty nails + mini giveaway

I saw these on a photo posted by Tala Samman on her Instagram. Immediately the challenge was set - find these ridiculous cat nail wraps so that I too can adorn my nails with them.

Well, I couldn't find them. Nothing on eBay, nothing online and no obvious offline/in store leads. So I moved on and forgot about it.

Then on Sunday I was in Harvey Nichols - buying Tom Ford makeup that I don't need - and I decided to pop in to the shoe department. This typically involves me hugging Chloe boots and drooling over YSL tributes. I did all that but I also made my way over to the Charlotte Olympia concession to admire the kitty flats.

Then I saw it. A glass container filled with cat nail wraps!  I grabbed two, rushed home and applied a set that night.

Now I don't LOVE nail wraps. They lift after 1-2 days and the raggedness sets in. The advantage of using them however, is that you can get some seriously amazing designs applied in a matter of minutes. I am not a nail art talent so being able to just slap on a sticker works well.

These are just as fun as I thought they would be :)

As mentioned above, I did get two packs and one of them is for you!

Just write a comment telling me what you think of nail wraps/stickers - good or bad - and on Friday I will announce the winner.

Hope you are all well :)

  1. I find I always get suckered into loving nail wraps for the intricate and adorable designs so many companies have been putting out- though I am always hesitant to spend so much money on something that typically lasts me no more than 3 days or so...but nevertheless, these are super cute & I'd love to win a pack! (If I can't own a pair of her adorable shoes, I'll just make do with some fancy nails ;D) Hope you've also been well, Laura :)

  2. I am not a fan of nail art myself either so this would be awesome to try! they look adorable and i think they will suit every skin tone quiet well.

  3. I like nail wraps even though I'm not a fan of nail art. But I'm love with silly things like those, especially if cats are involved! And they would be perfect for Halloween!

  4. im like you, i like them for the designs but they never look right after a few hours with me! i love the kitty design though, so cute!

  6. ARGGGHHHH, I've wanted the shoes for as long as I can remember seeing them on blogs when I first started, these are so cute!! I've never used wraps before, I have a pair of garish green ones in my stash from a beauty box but I've never been brave enough to try them, count me entered! :D

  7. I don´t like nail wraps because as you said, they lift after 2 days but I already try it and it´s so easy to put on and looks so pretty on my nails that I buy it if the price isn´t more than 5 euros.

  8. I love nail wraps as they make me look like I've put a tonne of effort into my nails even though it probably only took me a few minutes to wack them on. I think that if you choose a nice design and put a little effort into applying them, they look just as good as if you've painted it on yourself. I've been tricked into thinking other peoples nail wraps was just nail polish!

  9. Can I just say more than the nail wraps, I adore the "Love" ring? As for the nail wraps, I love them. I don't have the time to sit down and get nail art either done by myself or at a salon. I purchased a Nail Rock nail strip set sometime ago from Asos and they were quite a delight. These Olympia wraps look like Marc Jacobs to me- would loveee to try them out.
P.S. I'm becoming a Reiss addict thanks to you. Just got a dress and handbag that I can't wait to show off :-)

  10. I love them, often use just one as an accent nail because my nail art skills are severely lacking! I am also a crazy cat lady and called Charlotte so I think these are actually made for me!

  12. I like nail wraps but i've only tried them a couple times, the first time i used them was sally hansen, and i made them last a really long time by putting a clear top coat on them, amazing. I did the same thing a couple days ago with a set i used from l'oreal...and DISASTER...they shriveled up and were so gross i took them right off :(
i duno how others fare but i wont be using any clear polish over them ever again... lesson learned. I feel like that should be a warning on packages.

  13. I like them very much! They are super cute and I love cats as well :)

  14. I love nail wraps for the designs, and i put on gel soak off topcoat to make them last at least a week!!!

  15. I think they're cute! I usually just paint my nails, but sometimes when there's cats involved it's necessary to branch out... :)

    ReplyDelete
  16. I've only ever tried them once, and you're right. They do get all raggedy and start to peel pretty quickly! I'd be willing to give it another go though for kitties :)

  27. As I can't afford the Charlotte Olympia (or Marc Jacobs) flats with cats (and mice in the MJ) I would adore these. I recently grew my nails too after defending my thesis and this would be a nice reward. Also love your new hair :)

    ReplyDelete
  28. With careful application I can make good nail wraps last approx 3-4 weeks, so I'm all in - these are perfect for Halloween & I would love them, cos let's face it, they're as close as I'll ever get to a pair of Kitty Flats!!

  31. These are adorable! Send them to me! I know you want to. :D I love nail wraps, whether Sally Hansen or NCLA, they are so fast and easy. They are the best on the go.. I have applied a few different kinds in the car on the way to a wedding or some a "I spent too much time on my hair to do my nails" event.

  32. So pretty Laura, I adore the Charlotte Olympia kitty flats so these are kinda amazing. I'm a semi-convert to nail wraps... they're great when you're too lazy for polish but when the tips start to wear, it begins to stress me out more! x

    ReplyDelete
  33. Those are so presh!! Purrfect for fall!!

    ReplyDelete
  34. I LOOOVE them!!! Actually, before I had even finished reading this I'd already done an (unsuccesful) Google search for them! So adorable Laura. :D

  35. I love them, with layers of top coat I'm sure they will look fab for a week!

    ReplyDelete
  36. I love nail art but I have never tried nail wraps or stickers for some reason. I have seen so many awesome designs that I could never do by hand on my own nails. These halloween kitty ones are so cute. My only problem with polish is the short wear time so if these last a week of work I'b be hooked.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I thick the design is unusual ,I like them!

    ReplyDelete
  38. I absolutely love this! Gunna have to get myself a pack for sure!

  39. I love her kitty shoes as well, they are just out of my price range ( to be honest who has that kind of money for a pair of flats)
But the nail wraps are just to cute!!

  46. I've never tried them, mostly as I can't justify the cost for 1 maybe 2 uses when a bottle can be roughly the same. But they'd be fab for special occasions!

    ReplyDelete
  47. I do like nail wraps and they last quite well on me, but what annoys me is how long it takes me to apply them! It takes me ages to file and shape them all so I find painting quicker.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I love them on other people but the ones i have tried to apply before never looks as flawless as I expect =[

    ReplyDelete
  49. I'm the same with you love/hate relationship. I also don't like how long it takes me to apply them vs the time they stay on. Maybe if I never cleaned they'd stay on longer! :-)

  50. i like nail wraps on other people but i would like to try it out again to give it another try. :3

  55. I've only tried nail stickers once, but I loved them. They applied so easily once you got over the slight learning curve, and they lasted a good while for me -- definitel more than when I just go my own nails.

I have a black kitty, so I'd like to sport some nails that look like him!

  56. Hmm. Some can be good but some can be tricky to apply. The design of these ones are too cute though!!

  65. Never tried them before, but am curious to see how they work. It sounds easy to use and mess-free, and I love the intricate designs that can be made with it.

    Love the cat *meow*! :P

  66. I normally don't like them, but those are too cute!! There's no way I could dislike cute cats...

    ReplyDelete
  67. I like them for when i'm lazy with my nails and don't really want to have to get out all my regular supplies. but cat nail wraps are ones i could wear everyday

    ReplyDelete
  68. Love nail wraps! They're good for quickly doing your nails and while they don't last long, I have nail polish ADD anyway and change polish often.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Nail wraps can be a bit difficult, but I enjoy being able to have fun designs with minimal work!

    ReplyDelete
  70. I love them! Especially on your nail length. I am not a cat owner or cat obsessed-but seeing little touches of cat is really adorable-earring, rings, silly t -shirt, and now some cool nail art! I love them and your blog! Everything you touch is gold!

    ReplyDelete
  71. aw these are the cutest, i love anything with cats! I've tried some cheap wraps before which weren't sticky enough and generally i don't want to pay so much for one use

    ReplyDelete
  72. I've never tried nail wraps before, mainly because they seem like they are more trouble than they're worth. But I'd make an exception for ones with kitties on them. :)

    ReplyDelete
  73. Looks really easy to use. Kitty cat cool! x

    ReplyDelete
  74. I've never tried nail wraps before. I saw a lacy looking set in the newest local Oriflame catalog, but lace is just not my thing, so not yet sure if I'll try them. No nail art talent here either, so yeah, being able to have something on my nails in a matter of minutes is an attractive idea. These are very cute, and will just cement my cat lady image. :P

    ReplyDelete
  75. they look amazing! i've never tried nail wraps before and i'd like to give them a go (plus i'm such a sucker for anything with a cat on it)

    ReplyDelete
  76. Those are so cute! I love how nail art stickers are such a quick and easy way to get an amazing nail art mani, but they barely last a few days. I know that should stop me from buying them some times, but still, some are just too gorgeous to resist.

  77. I love those! Personally I've never tried nail wraps or stickers despite receiving some samples in the past. The ones I got just weren't my style, but I'd definitely try these out!

    ReplyDelete
  78. I love nail wraps. They seem to last longer on me 1. if I'm not doing anything too strenuous (obviously!) and 2. if I give my nails a good wash and rinse if I've just used polish remover beforehand. I only do a full set occasionally but often do just one nail - and the Charlotte Olympias are just fab!

    ReplyDelete
  79. I LOVE sally hansen nail wraps they are amazing!! currently wearing a set that are 9 days in and only show signs of nail growth no banged up edges or lifting!!!!!!!! I get them from boots just so u know!

    ReplyDelete
  80. oh I love these! since I couldn't splurge on the kitty flats, having those cuties on the nails would be good enough:) I think nail wraps last longer if u buff the nails good enough.. other than that love Sally Hansen ones! remind me of smth Katy Perry or Zooey Deschanel would wear! cheers

    ReplyDelete
  81. I love nail wraps, they're so quick and easy + cats, yes please!!

    ReplyDelete
  82. I love the aesthetic of nail wraps, but I'm not the best at applying them. I love trying to recreate the patterns with nail art pens though, and if i can't replicate it? well, a nail wrap will look pretty funky for a couple of days!

    ReplyDelete
  83. I did the same thing when I saw that you instagrammed these...looked all over the interweb and nothing. So here I am trying get my shot at winning these. I love doing my nails and have tried many different nail stickers/wraps and yes they are fun but definitely don't last. These would be perfect to showcase as one of my manic-ure mondays but more importantly they will be perfect for my cat themed party I'm throwing at the beginning of November. Yup, you read that right, cat themed party. Love me some themed parties. I've got some leggings, a couple shirts (outfit changes will be must), the ears, and now just need the nails. Meow ;)

    ReplyDelete
  84. These look amazing! I love them. I like the quick results of nail wraps and I find them pretty easy to apply but I hate how quickly they peel. X

    ReplyDelete
  85. I've never tried them before but as a shoe blogger have certainly featured the shoes that have inspired these wraps. They are rather fun - some of them can look a bit tacky but these ones are really cute - I'd love to give them a try x

    ReplyDelete
  90. i have always enjoyed nail wraps for the reasons you mentioned as i do not have the delicate hand needed to create my own nail art. but they really don't last for more than a day or so and i kind of got bored at a lot of the designs i was seeing (sephora, sally hanson, etc.) these are adorable though! i have always had my eye on the charlotte olympia flats and am now obsessed with the nails! hope you are well xx

    ReplyDelete
  91. I've never tried nail wraps myself but they've always been on my list. I love painting my nails and hate the dry time so I would guess that nail wraps with a cute design would be even better even if they didn't last.

  100. I've never actually tried nail wraps but I'm very tempted! I've seen some really cute pug ones which may be a little childish but I still want them hahaha. I think they make your nails look a lot more interesting and they're pretty much fool proof if you're like me and are hopeless when it comes to nail art. <3

    ReplyDelete
  101. I've purchased a few nail strips from Sephora and Revlon, and think they are great for special occasions.

If you have problems with them lifting, a trick to help prevent that is by using a blow dryer on the strips after you peal them off and then after you apply them on your nails . It melts the adhesive a little and helps them really stick and conform to your nail shape (:

    ReplyDelete
  102. I usually only paint my nails one colour so would love to try some wraps they have some great designs that you could never achieve in polish and it's great to theme nails to outfits or parties like fancy dress or halloween

    ReplyDelete
  103. I do not generally like nail wraps but I think the one you chose are adorable!

  115. I've tried nail wraps once before, [from the elusive Sally Hansen of course ;) ] and I really liked them. Loved choosing from complex designs that I could never paint on my own nails in a million years. These cat ones are the cutest ones I've seen!

    ReplyDelete
  116. It depends on the nail wraps, honestly. I think the Sally Hansen ones are better than others, as they tend not to lift.

However, many of the other drugstore brands will lift and start catching in my hair within 24 hours. Mega annoying.

  121. love hate nail wraps they always look so good but i can never do them

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  123. Love them! The Sally Hansen ones last a solid 7 days on me. Some have made it to ten!

    ReplyDelete
  124. I've been more taken with nail stickers than I would like to admit! I'm so impatient with traditional nail polish, nail stickers seemed like the perfect solution! I ordered a set from Sephora, but their pattern wasn't what I expected at all. These Charlotte Olympia ones seem much cuter. =D And this time I know what to expect! ;)

The final verdict: Nail stickers are good (in theory).

    ReplyDelete
  125. I love nail stickers but a lot of the times the designs are cheapish looking. These are so great though!!!

  131. I've always wanted to try nail wraps, but I have yet to do so. Those kitty nail wraps are so adorable! Since I've never used nail wraps, I've been into doing my own nail art if I ever feel a bit fancy with my manicure. I'd love to see how the wraps work though!

    ReplyDelete
  132. I have never ever used a nail wrap before so I'm not a very good authority on the subject as I've always felt like you need something akin to a degree to be able to apply them properly but OMG CHARLOTTE OLYMPIA KITTENS ON MY FINGER TIPS PRETTY PRETTY PLEASE .

  135. Nail wraps are my favourite beauty discovery of 2013, for slap-on great looking nails. I love that more brands are getting involved and then expanding their inventory of designs, catering for different ages and occasions. However their more delicate nature does make them more prone to unwanted ripping, which is why I recommend applying a layer of Seche Vite TopCoat- these a match made in heaven for a perfectly pretty mani!

    ReplyDelete
  136. Never tried, but don't think I would like them.

    ReplyDelete
  137. I love this design they r cute :) Some I've tried are quite hard to apply but once on they look stunning xx

    ReplyDelete
  138. they look good but are they hard to put on?? I am always clumsy

    ReplyDelete
  139. Ive had mixed results with different brands, Minx on your toes for a holiday is brilliant though because it doenst chip in the sand.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Nail wraps last longer for me than polish, I save them for when i want to feel super special. these kitty ones are the best.

  142. I love the gorgeous Kitty design! :) I find its usually a bit hit and miss with nail wraps - some of them are amazing and can last for ages but there are others that just seem to lift immediately. I got some glitter leopard wraps which looked amazing but they were so awful they just wouldn't stick to my nails no matter what I tried!

    ReplyDelete
  143. OMG Those are amazing! I love some of them, and think they have got easier to apply, however, some I think look a little too tacky.

  146. Never tried them but would be a better option that me trying do anything intricate on my own. I always get one hand looking great but the other is impossible. I actually love the idea of only using one nail wrap per hand as a statement nail among other plain vanished nails.

  147. I like them very much! They are super cute and I love cats as well :)

  148. I love them. I used to wear acrylic nails but since having a baby I've not been able to as I don't want to scratch her. These are a perfect alternative

  149. I've never tried them, but my nail varnish chips stupidly quickly anyway so there'd be no change there...

  150. these are possibly the most adorable nail wraps i have ever seen in my life! as a cat lady, i definitely need these in my life. i haven't actually ever tried nail wraps before, however, and i'm not sure why as i'm such a lover of nail art (even though i can't do it!) and these are such an easy way to get cool and quirky designs super easily! i absolutely love these and if i don't win them, i shall definitely hunt them down myself! :) X

  152. Honestly, I've never tried nail wraps. I'd like to. These would also aid in my push for the cat flats for Christmas. Husband is not for having it... for now.

  154. I honestly think it depends on the wraps? They can look reaaaally tacky if they're too crazy looking but I think these are rather chic!

  155. I love nail wraps if done right.. I've had an amazing experience with them the few times I tried, usually it's drugstore brands and I would love a chance to try out something more High end..who could resist the classy put together look yet when closer so cute!!

  157. i actually LOVE nail wraps, they are so easy to throw on, and with a topcoat they last longer than nail polish. Plus you can find endless amazing designs. I have only tried the sephora ones though, but good luck so far !:)

  158. I think nail wraps are amazing in concept: intricate designs without the hassle. For instance, I think fair isle nails in the winter are super cute and the kitten ones above are gorg! But to be honest, I rarely do them because it simply doesn't stay as long and is not as fun as painting my nails myself. Nail painting time is me time. ;)

  166. I have never tried nail wraps before, but these look beyond cute! I have always coveted those Charlotte Olympia cat flats and this is a great way to have their cuteness without having the actual shoes (and the shoes price!).

  169. I love that sweater, but I'm boycotting Mango due to how ridiculously think they've made Miranda Kerr look in the stills from her ad campaign for them. She's thin but not THAT dangerously thin.
