I think I was channelling some Miami Vice today. Not the Colin-used-to-be-sexy-Farrell Miami Vice but the old school Don Johnson era. It's the white blazer I think - does it every time!
When I took my cheesy Instagram picture this morning I realised that nearly everything I am wearing is Topshop. Sadly I am not sponsored by them so I spend my own money to look like a walking advert and I think this is going to be the case for some time. There are some sensational things on the website at the moment. Beautiful lace pencil dresses, scallop edged trousers and sky blue skirts to name just three.
Most of the time I think Topshop quality falls into the "good" category. I have had some pieces for years. The cut and choice of fabric is often what does it for me though - sometimes it's great and other times just plain odd. Take this top I am wearing today. It's all very nice and everything - an icy grey shade - but the weight of the fabric is all in the front and you know what that means don't you? A boob reveal every 2 minutes. I literally spent the entire day looking at my boobs and making sure they weren't out. #traumatic
The trousers - or joggers as Topshop calls them - are new-ish. They are that faux silk material that feels light and lovely to wear. Casual enough to be comfy but still capable of being dressed up. They have a lovely drape to them. Now heels would be great with these but I couldn't be bothered with that today and just wore my cheap F21 flats.

I think a make up post is next up, don't you? I want to share my love for the Hourglass Opaque Rouge lipsticks, the Kevyn Aucoin Celestial highlighter and most exciting of all, tomorrow I get my hands on Burberry Pale Barley, having ordered it from net-a-porter and I cannot wait to see if it lives up to the hype! Fingers crossed!
