This week I finally did it. I bought the NARS NARSissist palette.
I know this has received a bit of negative press on blogs but I have used it for 2 days and I am ready to declare my love for it. Some colours I have used/loved before but others are new to me and are just as amazing - Bali, Coconut Grove, Mekong and Madrague 2 are absolutely beautiful.
I wore this today and loved my makeup...I think it also had something to do with the other items too:
Sleek Matte Me in Petal - the applicator is terrible with a cheap, scratchy feel, but ignore that because the colour and longevity is great. They are a worthy dupe for the Hourglass version. Petal is a pink with a slight mauve undertone. Over the top I put Sleek Pout Polish in Peach Perfection. I will admit that this reeks - a sort of sweet, metallic scent - but it's a beautiful and moisturising product which makes it the perfect partner for Matte Me. It also gets bonus points for not interfering with the Matte Me bond on the lips.
Chantecaille Just Skin - I haven't worn it for a few weeks as I am trying to preserve the little amount I have left. As you know from the 294394334 times I have referenced it, there is nothing else like it. *sigh*
Diorshow Blackout mascara - intense black that transfers onto my brow bone. Will not repurchase.
By Terry Cellularose Blush Glace in Flower Sorbet - I LOVE LOVE LOVE this product and this is my favourite shade out of the two I purchased. Right this moment I am seriously considering a back up and here's why...
It gives a glow to the cheeks unlike anything else I have ever tried. We are talking a bright flush that blends seamlessly into the face.
The texture is unusual. It's hard to describe - it's not as thick as a traditional gel, much thinner. You need a teeny amount to get that whole "lit from within" shizz going and you can layer it if you want the product to brighten and make more of a statement.
I apply it and then tap it into my skin with my fingers. And in case you need a demonstration of what that looks like, see below :)
The frosted pot (same as Baume de Rose) is very pretty but slightly annoying:
a) I know that the shelf-life of this is pretty short because of it's maximum air exposure and
b) Finger action is needed to apply it.
However, despite this I cannot recommend it enough. Flower Sorbet is a sort of acid apricot and looks both natural and bright at the same time. It's the sort of product I imagine looking fantastic on sun-kissed skin in the summer months - making you glow in all the right ways.
I got mine at Space NK and you can also get it at Barney's. It's $58 (cue deep inhale of breath) but it is SO beautiful....although I have to say my photos don't do it justice.
Go to the store, swatch it, smell the pretty rose scent and see what you think.
Ooh and before I go I want to show off my new Topshop blazer.
I have really been on an outerwear role! This caught my eye on the website and:
a) It's a blazer
b) It's pastel mint
c) It has scalloped edges
Enough said. I adore it and as a pastel overload wore it with my Topshop pink skirt.

Have you tried the By Terry blushes?
You know I am curious to find out if the Daniel Sandler watercolour blushes are similar in effect. They are ALOT cheaper and I may just use this as a reason to order and find out :)
PS. If you got this far, thanks for reading :)
