Meet my second Tarte blush, a strawberry shade called "Natural Beauty". It's pigmented, provides the perfect flush and has staying power that is fully deserving of it's "Long-Wear" title. It was a purchase encouraged by many of you and I just want to say a big thank you for introducing me to it!
This has totally reinforced my faith in the brand's blush offering. See the other Amazonian Clay blush that I have is Exposed and that was a bit of a disappointment. I expected it to be truly neutral and sculpting but it has a pink undertone that I didn't expect. It quickly got sidelined for NARS Douceur.
I am very happy to report that Natural Beauty was a winner from first application. Okay so it's appearance is a little misaligned with it's name - it's bright stuff - but when you lightly dab it on you will given the most stunning flush of colour. Well I say lightly dab. Today I must have double, no triple dipped the brush for a punch of pink-red. That's okay. I am going to justify it by saying that:
a) I am fake tanned at the moment and this is a blush that definitely sings on warmer skin and
b) I love blush and I don't mind wearing copious quantities of it :)
I am trying to think what this is similar too and there is nothing that immediately comes to mind. Essie described it as a Snow White blush and I think that's quite accurate. There's a healthy youthfulness to the colour that's hard to beat!
I got mine in Sephora but I know Tarte is now in the UK (hurray...we're getting there!) and you can buy via QVC. UAE/GCC peeps, alshop.com often have Tarte products in stock.
And FYI, the other products on my face!
Foundation: Tom Ford Traceless Foundation in Natural. I hated this foundation. It has that 70's American model type finish. Think matte and flat. What I have realised though is that the addition of Laura Mercier Mineral Powder as setting powder will turn even the most hated of foundations into something that you actually like. Seriously, that Mineral Powder....I don't think I have ever used anything like it before.
Pre-blush: That sheen on my cheek is courtesy of Bobbi Brown Nude Glow Shimmerbrick. An outstanding product that I am still not over.
Eyes: MAC Ice, NARS Bali, Laura Mercier Creme liner in Espresso and NARS Coconut Grove blended on top. MUFE Smokey Lash
Lips: I am not sure I can talk about this yet as it's not been released but I promise I will. If you like pink/peachy glosses then you need this. The end.
I thought I would add a little OOTD in here. I think this is worth adding mainly because Roger lurks in the background.
Here we have a largely Zara centric outfit - the story of my life after my shopping moment at the weekend. The top is a pretty pink/black cropped chiffon number. I was immediately drawn to it. The cropped part is a bit of a bummer as it cancels out any versatility - it's either belly out or tucked in to a high-waisted something - but it's one of those items that I would have just kept thinking about, such is my love the palm tree print.
Now the shoes. Oh the shoes. Miss Laura Carlson and I discussed these shoes at length. They are the perfect point and have a gorgeous bow detail. The heel is kitten and the toe cleavage plenty. I like them so much that I am actually considering buying a back up.
A back up of shoes? Someone hold an intervention please!

Okay, I think there's going to be a makeup post tomorrow. I'll see you all then :)
