Another day, another midi. In this case however I wouldn’t advise rushing out to buy the skirt. It’s “aight” – a nice light scuba material that somehow manages not to be transparent. However, the front pleat at the front is rather fortunate, occasionally looking like it emanates near vagina level. I swear it looked different on the ASOS model. These, my friends, are the risks we take.
Thankfully the cropped striped top makes up for it. This is exactly what I want from a cropped top – a light tee that hits belly button level and does not therefore overly expose. It’s a subtle nod to the trend without being tacky. It came in one of those value packs, with a reversed striped version that I will probably wear on here very soon with some more high-waisted skirts/trousers.

In think the stripes bought out my cliched inner Francophile and I decided that I was going to be very “French” in my makeup: light skin base, a touch of blusher, a slick of eyeliner, mascara and a red lip from Clarins.
This is from the Rouge Eclat line and is called Red Fuschia. Those of you a bit scared of red lips should look closely at this one. It has a hint of a raspberry to it, making it a little bit warm and a lot easier to carry off. I love the formula– creamy and well pigmented when applied but weightless and moisturizing when worn. Isn’t it amazing how a lipstick can be so transformative in terms of look and mood? This is why I love makeup.
See you tomorrow!
