So my final Massimo Dutti post sees me in a dress that firmly rests in my comfort zone. And I'm okay with that.
I think one of the reasons I love this dress so much is that it has pockets! Just what is it about pockets that I appreciate so much? It's not as if I don't tote around a handbag at all times is it?
Gently flared hem line, V-neckline and pockets with a flattering stripe print. This is an easy to wear day dress that feels sturdy and supportive. The fabric is quite a thick viscose with cotton lining and it holds it's shape well. It's neither too modest nor too revealing which makes it a dress with a rare balance to it.
I dragged my "willing" husband out to take these final outfit photos. Turns out the Palm is a great place for this kind of activity... I wonder if he will agree to do this again because I could really do with making this a regular occurrence. Fingers crossed!

When I line up all three outfits side by side I think 2 is the most interesting out of the lot. The proportions and look is just that bit different from what I would normally plump for so this past week has been a reminder that I need to occasionally venture outside my "usual" uniform of jeans and dresses. It's okay to try something you have previously never imagined wearing.
But while I say that with full conviction let's see what I wore on Saturday to the Dubai World Cup shall we….
Number 1 - the white dress! :)
In the end it was perfect because it was HOT and this is an outdoor event that is packed full of people. I was comfortable and the dress made me feel as cool as I possibly could. Seeing as there were flights of stairs involved at the venue it was probably for the best that I didn't wear my palazzo pants - long flowing fabric, heels and stairs generally do not mix very well!
And what did I do at the event? 100% people watching. The Dubai World Cup is the equivalent of Ascot - and there is a curious mix of those who dress in evening gowns versus those who rock up in white jeans and a top. It's ideal people-watching material :)
Thank you for following all these posts! I am doing a little UAE giveaway on my Instagram so if you are based in the Emirates make sure you enter before Thursday.
I was so happy when I saw how many people follow me from the UAE - I had no idea! I'm sure I'll see some of you around - probably in a mall - at some point in the near future :)
See you tomorrow!
