The Pixellated Print Coat

Prepare yourselves. I have been shopping in Zara.

This happens every year. The Spring/Summer collection hits the stores and I promptly buzz around buying it all up. Or at least planning to over multiple shopping trips.

So far I have amassed a skirt, a couple of tops and this pixellated print coat.

If I had seen this on the website I wouldn't have ordered it. It looks so boring and muted in the product shots. Seeing it on the rack though is a different story. It's a pretty pastel toned jacket with a print that is interesting enough to make it stand out.

Judging by the fact that I have been wearing it pretty much every day since I bought it I would have to say that it has become the definitive piece for my Spring wardrobe…until I go in and buy something else that is :)

I wore it today with my standard jeans/white top uniform. The white top by the way is New Look and is so sensational (it's one of those faux silk style tops) that I am contemplating buying a back up.

I know what you're thinking - who buys bloody back ups of tops? Well apparently I do - or at least I am seriously thinking about it.

I got given a 300 AED voucher (about £55) for New Look at a recent press day and I was REALLY SURPRISED by how much good stuff I got in there when I went to cash it in. I'd always dismissed the Dubai stores as a bit rubbish, with them seeming to stock the worst of the collections but maybe things have changed!

With all this amassing of new "stuff" I am thinking of doing another clear out. I always give a ton of clothes to charity at regular intervals but I have also thought about dabbling in Depop - would any of you recommend it or should I go the good old eBay route? Let me know!

And Happy Easter! I am at work tomorrow working on a report but think of me when you are eating your Easter eggs won't you? :)

  1. I completely understanding buying backups! It's always disappointing when your favourite item gets ruined/worn out. I've have contemplated doing so many times. I'm not a fan of Depop, all I get is ridiculous offers! You might have better luck though.

  2. Oh, this Zara jacket looks perfect on you! And it also happens to me that the things on the rack catch my attention - and in the online shop I haven't even recognized them :)

  9. Happy Easter to you too! I´ll have a chocolate one for you.

That jacket looks great. These colors don't go well with my complexion, but I love that kind of prints. They can make an otherwise plain outfit look fashionable in an instant.

  10. This is amazing!! I've seen something in Zara very similar that i might have to treat myself to!

BTW, your home looks amazing (as seen on Simone's vlogs), could you maybe do a post on how you went about decorating your home/inspiration ideas? :)

  11. Laura! I've been reading your blog and following you since your YouTube days! I sell everything from fashion to electronics and antiques online (ebay and many other sites). I'd really recommend either ebay or Poshmark for selling your designer clothing. You can get really good $ for your stuff on Poshmark, but I'm not sure if they are set up for international sellers. If you have any questions abour selling your stuff, look me up! I'm @rubysbeauty on pretty much every social and selling site out there.

  14. I love this! I always think that Zara manage to make their clothes look as unappealing as possible on their website, goodness knows why. X
