Once again I am channelling my inner Liz Hurley and wearing my white jeans on a pretty constant basis.
This time however I am in a pair that I am going to bravely declare as being of holy grail status. Perfectly cropped, full of stretch and a competent disguiser of knickers. They are the full package.
It was Simone who recommended Frame Denim.
The thing with jeans though is that there are a personal thing. One's girls trash is another girl's treasure etc. I gave them a shot when they cropped up in the Net a Porter sale, getting up a blue pair for a "bargainous" £70. The model was the Le Skinny de Jeanne and with their mid-rise and hint of stretch, they were impressive - so impressive in fact that I also ended up getting the white. This is where they really excelled.
You see the thing with white jeans is that they need to be perfect:
- Transparency is a no - I don't want you to see either my cellulite or my knickers
- Stretch is a must - if designed to be skinny then they need to be heavy on the stretch and low on sag. Saggy arsed white skinny jeans are not something I want to be wearing.
It's hard to find the right pair. I've tried Zara and Current/Elliott in recent years and although acceptable, they let me down on either or both of the above points.
These Frame's are just so flattering - not easy to achieve with white jeans - and with the slightly cropped leg are made to be worn with heels, speaking of which, these Topshop ones are *thumbs up emoji*
